last year, i ask bvc explain me about this matter, they sent me a letter as below:
Thank you for your email of 24 November and we are pleased to clarify /explain the issues raised as follows :-
Where the timeshare scheme is concerned, the hotels and resorts that are listed in the Prospectus as appendices 1 and 11 will never be removed, reduced or changed until the expiry of the membership term. In Malaysia, the timeshare inductry is governed by the Registrar of Companies ( ROC) which ensures that the listed resorts in the prospectus remain for the members' usage and the title deeds are all vetted by the ROC which then renews the prospectus every 6 months. ROC will also ensure that BVC will not sell more memberships than the numbers approved. For your information the hotels and resorts in the appendices 1 and 11 for members 'usage are as follows:-
1) berjaya tioman beach resort
2) berjaya tioman suites
3) berjaya georgetown hotel,penang
4) berjaya langkawi beach & spa resort,pulau langkawi,kedah
5) berjaya redang spa resort, pulau redang, trengganu
6) kl plaza apartments, kuala lumpur
7) meranti park suites, bukit tinggi, berjaya hills, pahang
apartment units in equatorial hill reosrt, cameron highlands, pahang
9) paradise holiday paratments, port dickson, seremban
The above will always be made available for members without any surcharges as these are not only governed by the ROC but also the Trustee and in your membership agreement.
The resorts and hotels that have been been amended to affiliated resorts were previously made available to members under addtional benefits that appear in appendices 3 and 4 where the management reserves the right to amend from time to time.Members can still use these hotels and resorts by the payment of a surcharge.
With regards to the surcharges fro affiliated resorts, please understand that the mentioned resorts had raised our rates and we ahve no alternative but to also increase the surcharge accordingly. This is a hard decision but we have to ensure that the existence of the company ( BVC) is maintained throughtout the membership term not affecting the long term benefit of the members.
We hope we have clarified the issues raised and we thank you once agaon for your feedback
Best regards,
Ronnie Tan
